The term “lab-as,” we are told, means “fresh.” We tried out this restaurant and it was okay. We tried the mixed seafood soup which had a clean, fresh taste.
We ordered the sisig also but this was not very hot nor crunchy enough. I guess in a seafood restaurant, it is best to stick to seafood.
The sizzling squid would have been better if it was softer or less cooked. The sauce was good though with tomatoes and onions.
We ordered vegetables and the serving size was quite big so we had a hard time finishing this since the kids were not very fond of okra, talbos ng kamote (camote tops), eggplant, and ampalaya.
Aside from the above, we also had garlic shrimp and shanghai fried rice. The fresh buko (coconut) which my daughter ordered was presented so nicely, with a spoon stuck to/pushed into the top of a sliced coconut.
