We hired a van to take us around Dumaguete City. Our first stop was Dumaguete Cathedral or St. Catherine Cathedral, the oldest stone church in Negros. While there, you can also go see the Bell Tower which is right beside it and which makes for nice photo opportunities.
We also went to Rizal Park which has a simple but colorful playground and where you can see statues of Rizal and Maria Clara.
Rizal Boulevard is the baywalk area and it is said that our national hero walked along this area before he was exiled to Dapitan. The area offers a relaxing view although at the time that we were there, the smell coming from the water was not too nice.
In the area also is a depiction of the arrival of the Daughters of St. Paul Chartres in 1904. You can have your photo taken in this picture spot.
