Palawan is located southwest of Mindoro and is composed of (would you believe?) more than 1,700 islands? That’s a lot to choose from.
Palawan is on our list of places to go to. We’re waiting a bit though, for four-year old daughter Ali to get bigger as Palawan is again one of those beautiful places where you will have to travel by air, land, and sea to get there. Travel time ranges from a total of one hour and a half to 4 hours, depending on which area you are visiting.
There are a lot of areas to choose from in Palawan. So far, we have our eyes set on Club Paradise (Coron/Busuanga area); Amanpulo (Cuyo) — well, maybe when we’re 60 and have saved enough; Miniloc and Lagen Resorts (El Nido); Legend Hotel (Puerto Princesa); Club Noah Isabelle (Taytay); and Dos Palmas (Central Palawan) — well, we’re still thinking about that last one.
Palawan is great for diving, nature-tripping (with its lagoons, caves, cliffs, and underground rivers), and for enjoying white, sandy beaches. I haven’t met a soul who has been to Palawan and was not happy. These are friends, relatives, and colleagues (domestic or foreign) who have been to different resorts and have all come back raving about the place.
