Davao, one of the more modern and progressive cities here in the Philippines, is located in Mindanao and is about an hour and forty minutes away from Manila by plane.
What can one do there?
You can visit Malagos Garden Resort and enjoy its orchids, butterflies, and the bird show. You can go nature-tripping at Eden Nature Park which is located on the slopes of Mt. Talomo. You can scale Mt. Apo, the tallest mountain here in the country. You can go see the Philippine eagle at the Philippine Eagle Center. Davao can also be your take-off to Pearl Farm Resort. You can try the durian, a smelly fruit which tastes great (to some). You can shop for a malong or a sarong at the Aldevinco Shopping Center. You can dine at Jack’s Ridge or visit the Crocodile Farm at Pangil.
More features on specific attractions in Davao will follow in the coming days. In the meantime, to learn more about the place, you may visit www.davaotourism.davaoguide.com
