I’m a spa and massage person. Every chance I get to go on vacation and try a resort, I always go and get a massage or try the spa out.
In Boracay, I’ll have to go and visit Mandala Spa. It’s one of the most popular destinations in Boracay now, offering both overnight and day packages. The rates may be quite high but compared to the rates abroad, they are still quite reasonable.

Here’s a comparison of Panglao Island Nature Resort versus Alona Palm Beach in Bohol, Philippines.
The short answer: If you want your children to have a fun time in a resort in Bohol, choose the Panglao Island Nature Resort and book the Seaview Bungalow (upper level).

Have read much about this place either in society columns in the local newspapers or when it is featured in magazines. It seems that this is one of the more popular, newer places in Boracay today.
Nami Resort is located on a cliff above Diniwid Beach in Boracay. Given its location, it is said to be more private and exclusive. All rooms have a jacuzzi (wow — my 9-year old will be happy!) and room rates range from USD 110-300 a night, depending on whether it is peak or low season, and of course, depending on the type of room that you choose.

If ever we do get to return to Boracay, we will probably try staying at this resort. For one, we know the food is great. When we stayed at Pearl of the Pacific in 2001, we trekked to neighboring resort Waling Waling a few times and enjoyed several meals there.
The resort is very attractive, particularly at night, where the huts they have right up front have lighted blue lanterns. You can have a meal there, or you can get a massage, or you can also just lie down and relax.

The first time we went to Boracay for our honeymoon way back in 1995, we stayed at Lorenzo South. Lorenzo South is located on one end of the long stretch of beach, near Boat Station 3.
Lorenzo South is part of a group of resorts in Boracay which include Lorenzo Main and now, Lorenzo Grand Villa. Guests staying in any of the resorts which are part of the Lorenzo Group, if I remember correctly, can use the facilities of the other resorts. Lorenzo South, itself, does not have a swimming pool but there is a pool in Lorenzo Main and in Lorenzo Grand Villa.

When I think of Boracay, I think of white, fine, powdery sand; the most beautiful sunsets; and views of the sea that are so relaxing you want to keep returning to the place.
Our family has been to Boracay twice, once in 1995 and the next in 2001. That was before D’Mall and the spas like Mandala arrived. We still keep thinking of going back there — maybe in the next few years.

If you are thinking of visiting this resort located at Doljo Beach just like we are, I suggest you inquire and make your reservations early. There are only a limited number of suites available so making arrangements early enough will guarantee that you will be able to push through with your trip.
